Nokia would like to show the N9 (video)

If we learned anything from last year it would be not to count a company out, by any means. These are smart people. And Nokia shows just that. Enters the new Nokia N9, a partically all screen device with a feel to what you’ve been use to with a Nokia device. Gone away is the hardware buttons of old in with gestures? Yes I said it gestures, but not in the webos sense. It uses a swipe from one edge to the other as a replacement for the home button. Pretty neat!

Whats on the other side?

It has been almost a year since I first started this blog. And I have enjoyed every bit of it since then. The stories I found, The amazing releases for the tech world in such a short time is remarkable! But the best part was writing for the readers. With that being said, there comes a time that things need change. Now change can be looked at in two different ways: good and bad. And it really all depends on each person it affects whether its good or not. I’ll let you be the judge for yourself.

If you are a subscriber or an occasional reader you may have noticed that the site has been…… slow. In fact you could say it stopped dead in its tracks. And you wouldn’t be wrong at all, the last article ive but up was some time ago. This is one of my concerns regarding the site. Its been down way to long in my opinion and I’m sure you would agree. Now you could say: Well Atiba, that’s easy to fix. Just start writing again.” Its not that easy sadly. I could say that ive been so busy with other things (projects, my business etc.) but I know I could still give attention to my followers. So the question is whats holding me back?

To answer that let me give you a quick background about me. I get bored easy when I’m not challenged. That was at least one reason why. It easy to write articles. And even sometimes I see people making no attempt to bring something different on their site. I didn’t want to be one of those sites. For a one man operation this becomes your enemy. I have the utmost respect to all dedicated writers out there and could never bring myself down to that level. The content was getting dull. What once was my own content became more resource than anything. And without any leads its hard to find something original to show everyone.

Now some blogs are just for you get the latest news and you can go about your way. I don’t feel that should be the case. Although anyone has the right to make their site what they want it to be, and that’s fine. In proper focus were all on the same team here. But shouldnt that make us work harder to make things more enjoyable to readers? Is “quickie” news articles enough to wet our whistle?

That was just the start. The site was first made as a simple project to see how I would fare in the blogging world. And let me tell you, I ve learned so much during these pass months. And when I thought I learned everything, I was presented with some humble pie. it wasnt always great though, but a lesson learned is just that. And at the end of it all, I’m happy I was able to learn by my mistakes. So I decided something. That change I mentioned earlier, I needed it. And in my perspective its a good one. And I hope it’s good for you also.

Starting immediately, I will be starting a new blog! It’s called G33konthis, and its all about technology. A geek’s dream site that’s going to be done differently. The main idea of this site is to give you something to think about. For geeks and those who are just interested. The days of news and just plain old updates are gone. I’m going to keep a few segments that made this site what is was. And I’m really excited to share it with you! I had an issue of looking at all these sites and most of them doing just news and updates. Pretty much copying other sites. Nothing new. I wanted to move from that and give the readers something to talk about. And aside from big name sites, the majority are cookie cutter.

This is a chance to challenge myself and my peers in making the entire tech community rich and not the equivalent of soundboards apps in the many app stores. I’m not sure just yet the outcome of this site. But for now it will be up, just not updated. I thank everyone who has enjoy this ride with me and to travel over to the new site and begin a new-found adventure there as well…

Now before you ponder on why this topic is on this site, It’s nothing like what you are thinking. It’s a commercial. And it starts off throwing you off. At the end you’ll either laugh or ponder on why? Not because of the devil but what the commercial is for. Theyre now made not to just show what the product or point is, but to make you laugh and remember it, regardless if it wasnt needed in the first place. It’s a crazy one! But what commercials have you seen that was just over the top?

 

 

Butt Dialing Gone Wrong!

Have you ever been a victim of a butt dialer before? Or even worse have you been a butt dialer for some time. TO this day I don’t understand how people are capable of dialing with no hands or voice activation. Just a little swing of the hips and your dialing mom. Here is a guy who butt dialed the wrong number. Totally wrong number. How do you dial 911? Doesnt make sense, Butt (play on words) it gets worse. Watch and laugh, then if you can stop laughing enough, leave a comment. Have you butt dialed before or been on the other side of one?

Xmen: First Class Sneak Peak (Video)

June 3 is quickly approaching us. And with that date comes a reboot for a franchise. Yes, Xmen gets another chance with a new approach and a new cast. Hopes of saving the known and popular comic series hangs with this movie debut. I really hope they do better than Xmen 3. And I’m sure that’s why they’re doing this  movie now, so as to regain the trust of the movie goers any more important the comic reading community. Here’s a sneak peek into the first class movie. The “Sucker Punch” Film Review

Sucker Punch is a stunning, whirlwind masterpiece, visually. An imaginative techno-fantasy thriller with a high concept to frame its narrative and big ideas. It’s a shame then, that this film is so incomplete.

In the film, Emily Browning plays Babydoll, a young girl put into a mental institution by her evil stepfather after she accidentally kills her younger sister. The stepfather pays an Orderly to arrange a lobotomy for Babydoll, so she can never reveal the real circumstances behind her sisters death. Babydoll has five days before she’s lobotomized.

A video game for video games

We all love are video games. From are action to sports genres, we just can’t get enough of them. So when we but them to battle (particularly action and fighting game) Who would come out on top? How about Master chief versus Samus? Two hardcore heroes who kick butt at what they do. You might have a chance to do so.  A Smash Bros. like fighting game for the 2D lovers of there. And trust me when I say it will not disappoint. Great characters like Cloud from Final Fantasy 7 and Link from Zelda makes the cut. And also awesome

The “Source Code” Movie Review

It would be silly to ask a movie like Source Code to explain the science that makes the story possible. Yes, its absurd and preposterous. If the filmmakers were forced to address all our questions, the film would fall apart. But it’s science fiction. Just like we accept warp speed and the force and aliens from other planets, we accept that time travel into another human body, in order to experience the last eight minutes of that person’s life, is possible.
